Here is another fun bit that I wrote several years ago in Flash 5 and Actionscript 1.0. We've all seen the old Paint By Numbers pictures that we used to get as kids. I decided to try to replicate the idea in Flash.
The thing that makes this more interesting than most of the Paint By Numbers pages on the net is that you can mix your paint colors, creating basically any color that you wish.
Usage
To use this file, you can position the tip of your brush over any of the colors on the palette. Holding down the mouse button will "load" that color onto the brush. The longer you hold it down, the more paint is loaded onto the brush.
From there, you can paint that color onto the picture, OR you can paint the color onto one of the Mixing wells on the palette. Then you can load another color onto the brush and mix it in with the original color in the well.
If you need color hints, you can place the mouse over the picture in the bottom right, which will show you a magnifying glass over the canvas, showing you the original color.
If you need to clean off a mixing well, just use the paint thinner "rag" and wipe the color so that you can mix other colors.

This is a good example of advanced color manipulation using Actionscript in Flash. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them below!
Enjoy!
